In Development...

All these projects are in various stages of development and preparation:

“The Condemned”
Historical drama and love story.
Inspired by the true story of Lady Betty, the 18th century Irish woman who became the first female executioner in history. Beset by unspeakable tragedy, Betty travels a very dark road of penance, before finally reaching the light of love and redemption.

“Fatale”
Intense psychological feature film drama.
A university professor, who teaches classes on the nature of evil, must face the truth about himself – when he falls in love with a woman who is very, very dangerous.

“The Fixer”
One-hour dramatic TV series version of the film we made for Showtime.
A peek behind the curtain on how things really get done in the City That Works.
“Chicago is a closed society.  Always has been.  It works like the fingers on your hand:  politicians, police, big business, organized crime.  The fixer is like the thumb.  He can touch any finger, or all the fingers, more easily than they can touch each other directly.”  If you have a problem – big or small, private or very public – the fixer can make it go away.  For a price.  That is not always measured in dollars…

“Infidels”
Horror suspense thriller.
Young Americans in Paris are kidnapped by a group of fanatics bent on converting them to their deranged religion.  The victims must endure terrifying tortures on every level of mind, body and spirit.  Who will survive?  Who will endure?  Who will triumph?

“Memory Cube”
Sci-fi.
The subjects are murder, resurrection, immortality and human nature.  If you have the power to live forever, will you escape your fate?

“Nanny Killer”
Comedy - horror.
Someone is killing the nannies of Malibu, creating a crisis among the pampered elite. 40ish struggling actress Kate is in the eye of the hurricane. Is she a sympathetic mom trying to cope, or a cold-blooded murderer?

“Scary Critters”
Animated feature film.
When Wolfie, a young wolf spider, is unceremoniously evicted from his mountain cabin, he recruits a group of scary critters to help recapture his home.  It’s like “The Magnificent Seven,” but with snakes, bats and scorpions.

“Sword of the Gael”
Graphic novel + mythological fantasy feature film.
Based on the oldest epic poem in Western European literature, the Irish saga Tain Bó Cualigne, the “Cattle-Raid of Cooley.”  The saga of Cú Cullan, the dauntless warrior who single-handedly defended Ulster from the combined armies of Ireland.

Among the Irish, Cú Cullan is the greatest of heroes – the Celtic equivalent of Hercules, Achilles, Gilgamesh or Lancelot.  Indeed, the Tain is known among many scholars as the “Irish Iliad.”  Cú Cullan’s characteristic transformation from beautiful young man to monstrous warrior – his terrifying “Battle Frenzy” – is the original template for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk, and numerous other modern imitators.

“Valentine”
Epic historical drama.
The true story behind one of the world’s most popular holidays, Valentine’s Day.  Valentine was a priest in third century Rome, who took on the ferocious emperor Claudius Gothicus, and sparked a revolution – of love.
